How to Spend a Short Break in Jersey: Must See Itinerary

Two-Days in Jersey Curiously Brit-ish.

Jump on a short flight from over 20 UK airports, or hop on the ferry, and you could be here in time for the golden hour in the sunniest spot in the British Isles. And the good news is that you don’t need a passport – a photo ID will do. Explore the only two-day itinerary you'll need to see the best of Jersey.

Day 1

St Hellier

Explore the picturesque town of St. Helier, discovering all of the area’s highlights. There is plenty of shopping to do and some beautiful sights to see.

Elizabeth Castle

Perched on the rocks in St Aubin’s Bay, Elizabeth Castle is over 300 years old and is accessible either by boat or walking across the causeway when the tide allows.

Liberation Square

The statue represents the liberation of Jersey from the German forces after WWII, and it was unveiled in 1995 to mark the 50th anniversary of the liberation.

Le Petit Train

The unique Little Trains link St Helier with St Aubin, Jersey's historic original harbour. Take a seat and follow a scenic route on the promenade across St Aubin Bay with a full historical commentary. You can board the train at Liberation Square in St Helier, St Aubin Harbour or West Park. The journey takes around 35 minutes each way.

Day 2

St. Ouen’s Bay

Start your second day by experiencing one of the island’s best features: its vast, golden beaches.

St. Ouen’s spans a stunning five miles and features the roaring Atlantic Ocean surf. Scattered with surfers, dog walkers and picnickers, this bay is a Mecca for holidaymakers once the summer temperatures roll in, but is equally enjoyable out of season. From the bay, it’s possible to see Jersey’s famous Corbiere Lighthouse.

St. Brelade

Head around the island to St. Brelade, just 20 minutes away, and get to know Jersey from a totally different perspective: on the water! Try a stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) tour or lesson, and get a workout while you have a lot of fun, too. It's the most popular beach on the island and is a great bay for sunset photos.

Corbière Lighthouse

The lighthouse of La Corbière is set on a tidal island out at sea. At low tide, you can walk the causeway out to the lighthouse, past rock pools and sandy beaches. Explore, but stay alert - an alarm warns visitors when the tide is returning and it’s time to leave the causeway.
